Apple has just launched 3 new iPhones including iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max. Although their names are quite similar, they are significantly different.
The camera is the most distinguishable point between iPhone Pro and iPhone. The iPhone 11 uses dual cameras, including a wide-angle camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera. It supports night shooting, background erasing, smart HDR like iPhone Pro.
However, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have up to 3 cameras, the third is a telephoto camera. Thanks to that, it zooms better than the iPhone 11.
iPhone 11 still uses a liquid crystal display (LCD), while iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max use organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. Therefore, iPhone Pro's screen has better contrast and beautiful black than iPhone 11's.
The screen size is also different: iPhone 11 features a 6.1-inch screen, compared to 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro and 6.5-inch iPhone 11 Pro. The pixel density on iPhone 11 is 326 pixels per inch, while iPhone Pro is 458 pixels per inch.
Also, the screens on the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels and 2688 x 1242 pixels respectively while the iPhone 11's screen is 1792 x 828 pixels.
iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max have brighter screens than iPhone 11, a maximum brightness of 800 nits compared to 625 nits.
Color and design
Another difference that cannot be ignored is design and color. iPhone 11 is made of aluminum and glass, feels similar to the iPhone XR, while iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have rough surfaces, made of glass and stainless steel.
Additionally, iPhone 11 is more colorful than the Pro version, including purple, yellow, green, black, white, and red, while the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max come in dark blue, silver, gray and gold.
Apple says the iPhone is equipped with the most durable tempered glass on a smartphone and thus is definitely stronger than its predecessors. iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are more resistant to water than iPhone 11. The two Pro versions can be immersed at 4 meters of water for 30 minutes, while iPhone 11 can only withstand 2 meters of water at the same time.
Memory is the next difference between iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. iPhone 11 comes in 64/128/256GB versions, while two high-end iPhone models come in 64/256/512GB versions.
As the name implies, iPhone Pro is more expensive than iPhone 11. iPhone 11 costs $ 699 for 64GB, $ 749 for 128GB, and $ 849 for 256GB. Meanwhile, iPhone 11 Pro costs $ 999 for 64GB, $ 1,149 for 256GB, and $ 1,349 for 512GB. The corresponding prices of iPhone 11 Pro Max are $1,099, $ 1,249 and $ 1,449.
