Galaxy S10 - the key to help Samsung regain market share in China

Galaxy S10 helps Samsung's market share grow to the highest level from Q1/2018 to the present

According to Strategy Analytics data, from January to March 2019 Samsung sold a total of 1 million phones in China. This number doesn't seem to be worth it, but it helped Samsung's market share increase to 1.1%, the highest number of companies since Q1/2018. The growth in China is thanks to a huge contribution from Galaxy S10. Specifically, sales of Galaxy S10 are 120% - 130% higher than Galaxy S9 in the Chinese market.


Currently, Galaxy S10 sales seem to be better and are not expected to drop dramatically in the future. Moreover, Samsung seems to have listened to users' opinions more and more while continuously launching the mid-range Galaxy A series with a good configuration and affordable price. Experts say that mid-range devices will push Samsung to continue growing in the future.

Galaxy A series will help Samsung get much success

As mentioned above, this year shows that the Galaxy A series is extremely important to the company. Although it has not been officially announced yet, looking at the overall Galaxy A products is enough to be seen exclusively for Indian and Chinese users. Therefore, Samsung is trying to promote growth and surpass competitors in this market.


Accordingly, the giant technology brand from South Korea announced that it would quickly release Galaxy A40s, Galaxy A60, Galaxy A70, and Galaxy A80. Now, these devices receive a lot of positive feedback from international users and the appreciation of experts, not except Chinese users are.

Galaxy A60 has been scheduled to launch in China on May 10, 2019, the product attracted the attention of the user community. Therefore, the two batches sold out Galaxy A60 that Samsung organized are out of stock quickly. Also, Galaxy A40s with cheaper prices is not less attractive.

Galaxy Note 10 is expected to help Samsung increase sales


Galaxy Note 10 is expected to be released in August, so there will be 3 more months Samsung will be able to receive another sales increase in China. Galaxy Note series this year will be completely different from previous years, instead of only launching a Galaxy Note version, this year may have up to 3 separate models, including Galaxy Note 10 with a smaller screen than Note 9 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro with a bigger screen, longer battery, and Galaxy Note 10 Pro 5G. Especially, Galaxy Note 10 Pro 5G is aimed at users who require the best experience as well as take advantage of the 5G network. It is expected that this version will have the same parameters as Galaxy Note 10 Pro.
