60th Grammy: A night of emotions

60th Grammy Awards took place on January 28th, 2018 in New York - USA. Bruno Mars won three big Grammy Awards: “Song of the Year," "Album of the Year" and "Record of the Year."

The 2018 Grammy Awards kicked off with Kendrick Lamar singing “XXX” - a song that delivers anti-racism messages. The next performance was from Lady Gaga with “A Million Reasons" accompanied by Mark Ronson on the guitar.

As the evening went on, the stage got hotter and hotter. Although released at the beginning of 2017, after one year “Despacito” has proved itself as one of the top hits of the last year. Listening to its catchy music and watching the passionate dance, people could not help but stand up dancing and singing along.

Another hit that has caught on recently is "Finesse" by Bruno Mars and Cardi B. It was the first time the young female singer performed on the Grammy and she did a really good job in stirring the atmosphere.

In addition, the 60th Grammy also had the attendance of famous singers such as Sam Smith, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran...

A number of political activities and memorials also took place. Those memorated were Leonard Bernstein winning 16 Grammy awards and Andrew Lloyd Webber. In order to do this, Patti Lupone sang the song "Do not cry for me Argentina" written by Andrew Lloyd Webber while Dear Evan Hansen sang "Somewhere", the soundtrack of "West Side Story", to thank composer Leonard Bernstein.

The first award of the night was given to Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. Both were honored with the category of "Best Rap Performance" for their song "Loyalty" from their album "Damn".

Alessia Cara is the next nominee for the category "Best New Artist". defeated many candidates including SZA and Khalid to win the category. "I just want to encourage real music, real artists," said Alessia Cara, who stressed the importance of rewarding young people.

While Little Big Town was honored with the category "Best Country / Country Performance / Group Song / Performance", Ed Sheeran won the "Best Pop Solo Performance" award for his song "Shape of You."

Not surprisingly to many people, Bruno Mars was honored in the "Song of the Year" category with the song "That's what i like". He was called up for the "Record of the Year" category with "24k Magic".  After two major awards, Bruno Mars continued to win "Album of the Year" with the album "24K Magic".

Looking back the past year, 2017 has experienced the release of numerous hits and therefore has been a year full of vivacity.
