5 of the most fascinating film disclosures at Comic-Con 2019

Not only Marvel Studios, but many film studios and brands also took advantage of this year's San Diego Comic-Con event to promote their new products.


MCU’s Phase IV: Marvel Studios took the spotlight at San Diego Comic-Con this year when launching a series of new information about the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige announced the teaser of “Black Widow”, the cast of “The Eternals” and “Shang-Chi and the Legend of Ten Rings”, the return of Natalie Portman as Thor in the female version of "Thor: Love & Thunder", as well as announcing the "Blade" project with Mahershala Ali. In addition, a lot of series on Disney + including "What If?", "Loki", "WandaVision", "Hawkeye" and "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" were also gradually shown up. Everything makes the future of MCU "Avengers: Endgame" become extremely worth waiting for.


"Terminator: Dark Fate": Director Tim Miller and the entire cast of Terminator 6 were present at San Diego Comic-Con on July 19. Producer James Cameron was so busy that he only sent fans a greeting through a video. There are two important disclosures about blockbusters from the event. First, "Terminator: Dark Fate" will be labeled R because of the level of violence and adult language. In addition, Edward Furlong will return to play the role of John Connor, and this is the first time the actor has re-appeared in the brand since "Terminator: Judgment Day" (1991).


"Top Gun: Maverick": Paramount made a surprise when Tom Cruise appeared in the legendary H hall. The star brought to the public the first trailer of "Top Gun: Maverick" - a sequel to the famous action film that came out in 1986. Cruise thanked San Diego city when it is the main shooting context of both "Top Gun" episodes. Under the plan, the audience will meet with the legendary pilot Pete "Maverick" Mitchell in the summer of 2020.


"IT: Chapter Two": Director Andy Muschietti and the cast made an impression when setting up a private area to introduce their film outside the San Diego convention center right from the first night. They brought the final trailer of the work about Pennywise. "IT: Chapter Two" is about to be released from September 6.


"The Walking Dead": This series is San Diego Comic-Con's familiar partner for many years and the card for the 2019 event was printed the 10th season poster of "The Walking Dead". In addition to the new film season, the brand is also preparing to expand a new part of the story, revolving around young characters. That will be the second spin-off of “The Walking Dead” after “Fear the Walking Dead”.
